Ulrike Semwenda

Ulrike Semwenda is an Advocate of the High Court and courts subordinate to it, with an extensive background in corporate law, cross-border legal advisory, and strategic business structuring. She holds an LLB (Hons) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PGDLP), and her practice spans labour laws, corporate law, investment law, property law, intellectual property, real estate, private international law, and public international law.

Ulrike specializes in providing legal consultancy to corporations operating in complex regulatory environments, with a strong focus on compliance, governance, and international business transactions. She advises clients on risk management, regulatory alignment, and sustainable business practices, and her expertise covers corporate structuring, contractual frameworks, mergers and acquisitions, and legal support for investment planning. She plays a key role in aligning legal strategies with business objectives across real estate, mining, manufacturing, and multinational operations.

At SaHuL Investment Limited, Ulrike leads as Executive Director with responsibility for business and investment advisory. She works closely with international investors and foreign companies seeking to enter or expand in Tanzania, ensuring that legal frameworks support commercial goals while meeting local and international compliance requirements. Her experience in cross-border transactions and multi-jurisdictional matters positions her to guide clients through the full lifecycle of investment, from structuring and due diligence to ongoing governance and dispute prevention.
